La DH highlights the impressive rise of Hockey Corporate since its creation in 2009. What began with just 10 teams in Ixelles grew into a major corporate sports event welcoming 132 teams from 108 companies across seven evenings. The 7th edition, hosted at Beerschot, confirmed the strength and popularity of the concept. Despite heavy rain and storms on certain dates — notably in Waterloo — players continued to defend their company colours with remarkable motivation and resilience.
Creativity, Atmosphere and Corporate Pride
According to La DH, the atmosphere of Hockey Corporate is unlike any other. Companies arrive with flags, mascots, personalised sticks and even short films to promote their team. With double fields and up to 24 companies per night, each event seamlessly blends competition, team spirit and celebration. Half of the participants discover hockey for the first time, supported by a three-level structure: Beginners, Fun and Experts. From intense matches to a 320-person dinner, every detail contributes to the tournament’s unique identity.
A Social Impact Beyond the Field
The article also highlights Hockey Corporate’s support for Hockey Together, an association helping people with mental or physical disabilities discover the joy of hockey. The initiative has created strong emotional moments, including spontaneous donations from participating companies. La DH concludes that Hockey Corporate is far more than a competition: it is a community event focused on inclusion, team-building, creativity and joy — a true celebration of corporate sport in Belgium.
